Kathryn J. Kambhu, D.D.S.

General Dentist

Dr. Kambhu is an Iowa City native. She received her undergraduate education from Creighton University, and then went on to teach elementary school for a couple years abroad and in Colorado. Choosing to return to the great state of Iowa, she was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2024. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and looks forward to making a positive impact on her community.


Outside of work, you can find Dr. Kambhu taking her dog on runs and spending time with friends and family.

Peter P. Kambhu, D.D.S., M.S.

Prosthodontist

Dr. Kambhu was awarded his Master of Science in Prosthodontics and Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1986 from the University of Iowa. He then spent the next eight years in academia at the University of Iowa. He enjoys all aspects of Prosthodontics which include cosmetic dentistry, implant supported restorations, replacement of missing teeth, restoration of damaged teeth, and treatment of temporomandibular disorder. Dr. Kambhu looks forward to working with you and your referring dentist to provide the care you deserve.

Emily, RDA, EFDA

Office Manager/ Dental Assistant (Expanded Functions)

Emily is a dedicated dental professional with over a decade of experience in the field. A graduate of the Kirkwood Dental Assisting Program in 2013, she began her career under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Kambhu. She completed her expanded functions certificate in 2016. She has now advanced to the role of Dental Assistant and Office Manager. With a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for the dental field, Emily excels in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring efficient office operations.


Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors, whether playing with her dog Bella, boating, or camping with friends and family.

Alyssa, RDA, EFDA

Dental Assistant (Expanded Functions)

With several years of experience in the healthcare sector, Alyssa has been dedicated to providing quality care to patients. Under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Kambhu, Alyssa honed her skills and deepened her knowledge of patient care. In 2023, she achieved her expanded functions certification, further enhancing her ability to support our team and serve our patients effectively.


Outside of her professional life, Alyssa is passionate about caring for her foster children and spending quality time with her wife, Annie. Together, they share their home with five beloved cats and a lizard. In her free time, she loves attending music festivals and exploring the aisles of Trader Joe's for unique finds.

Zach, RDA

Dental Assistant

With two years of hands-on experience as a dental assistant, Zach trained under Dr. Peter Kambhu. Known for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, he has a talent for making patients smile and feel at ease during their visits. He is passionate about building strong relationships and contributing to a positive dental experience for all.


Outside of work, Zach enjoys watching sports, fishing, spending quality time with family, and participating in church group activities.
